- Dehydration can cause dryness of your lips. Drink plenty of water, it keeps your lips fresh.
- Deficiency of vitamin B, essential fatty acids and iron can cause scaling of lips.
- Rub a slice of cucumber on your lips, apply neem extract, and use aloe Vera gel
- Don't lick your lips, it will cause more chapping. Licking lips doesn't moisturize them.
- Apply lip balm or petroleum jelly on your lips to keep them smooth.
- Don’t wet your lips with tongue which lose moister.
- Apply butter or milk cream on your lips to remove the dry dead skin and to make them smooth.
- Use a soft toothbrush to buff your lips so that it removes the deposit of dead cells which causes more dry and flak.
- Apply lip balm or moisturizer on your lips to make them moist before applying lip color.
- Apply castor oil or glycerine on dry lips to make them smooth.
- Avoid lipsticks which causes dryness to your lips.
- Lip lickers also tend to be lip biters. Biting lips removes their protective covering which causes further drying
